Bookseller (Part-Time) – Wendel's Bookstore & Café

Wendel's Bookstore & Café is an independent bookstore and community gathering place in the heart of Fort Langley. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Bookseller who enjoys connecting with customers, recommending great reads, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.
What You'll Do:
- Assist customers with book selections and recommendations
- Process sales through our point-of-sale system
- Receive, unpack, and stock new book shipments
- Maintain attractive book displays and store organization
- Assist with inventory and merchandising
- Help create a positive and engaging bookstore experience
- Perform general bookstore duties as required
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for books and reading
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Basic computer proficiency
- A positive, outgoing, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a busy environment
Position Details:
- Part-time: approximately 15–20 hours per week
- Primarily evenings and weekends
- Earliest shift begins at 9:00 AM
- Latest shift ends at 10:15 PM
- Typical shifts are 6–8 hours
- Paid breaks included
Compensation & Benefits:
- $18.50–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience
