Work & Play is currently seeking a Parts Advisor to join our locally-owned trailer dealership. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, customer-focused, and mechanically inclined, with the ability to help customers find the right parts and solutions for their trailer, RV, towing, and service-related needs. The position combines parts counter service, phone inquiries, special orders, inventory support with a strong emphasis on accuracy, product knowledge, and clear communication.
We value someone who is approachable, organized, willing to ask questions, and able to stay productive during slower periods by helping with inventory, showroom upkeep, cycle counts, and follow-up tasks. This is a stable, full-time position within a small team, best suited to someone interested in long-term employment and taking pride in helping customers, supporting the shop, and keeping the parts department running smoothly.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of parts, dealership, automotive, RV, trailer, or similar experience
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn trailer parts, towing products, axles, brakes, and related systems
- Strong customer service skills and professional telephone manner
- Comfortable using computer programs, inventory systems, and point-of-sale software
- Accurate and detail-oriented with parts lookups, orders, invoices, and special orders
- Dependable, punctual, and able to stay productive during slower periods
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Bilingual French and English a strong asset
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers at the parts counter and over the phone with hitches, axles, RV parts, trailer parts, accessories, and related products
- Handle parts inquiries, quotes, follow-ups, special orders, invoicing, payments, and returns
- Look up parts, confirm availability, and provide accurate information to customers and staff
- Coordinate with sales, service, reception, and other departments as needed to support daily operations
- Restock shelves, set up displays, assist with inventory/cycle counts, and help maintain a clean, organized parts area
