Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Maintenance Worker to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. This role requires leadership qualities, customer service skills, and experience in managing maintenance tasks efficiently. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Operate and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
- Conduct welding repairs or modifications as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building automation systems.
- Supervise or assist with facilities projects, including upgrades or renovations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or staff maintenance requests professionally and efficiently.
- Lead or support maintenance team activities, including training new staff or supervising contractors when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
- Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing maintenance teams or projects.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and building automation systems.
- Experience using CMMS software for maintenance management is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with team members and guests.
- Prior experience in manufacturing settings or large-scale facilities is advantageous.
