Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Engineer to oversee and maintain the operational integrity of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance expertise, along with leadership experience in supervising maintenance teams. This role involves ensuring the safety, functionality, and comfort of our hotel environment through effective troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. A background in manufacturing, schematics interpretation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CMMS systems is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead a team are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facilities maintenance operations to ensure all hotel systems function efficiently and safely.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and PLCs to diagnose issues accurately.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS software to minimize downtime.
- Conduct welding and other mechanical repairs as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes through regular inspections.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or staff concerns related to facilities promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in facilities maintenance or engineering roles within hospitality or manufacturing environments.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics and PLC systems.
- Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and familiarity with CMMS software.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with facilities maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination.
- Customer service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction and safety compliance.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus but not required.
