Position Summary
TRG is hiring a Forklift Operator (Reach) for our client based in Calgary, AB. This position involves driving a powered industrial truck equipped with forklift, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse or factory.
Location: Calgary, ON
Shift: Day 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Schedule: Mon to Fri
Pay rate: $21/hr Direct deposit (weekly pay)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate specialized forklifts, loading/unloading goods, and storing or retrieving pallets from high-level racking and loads and unloads skids/pallets on/off trailers and transports to various areas within the plant.
- Places and removes skids from assigned bunks in safe manner.
- Ensures counts are accurate on materials being received and shipped.
- Wraps and straps completed skids from production line.
- May be required to work on the production assembly line.
- Exercises care for the safety of personnel, property and materials at all times.
- Enters data into company systems as directed.
- Completes daily maintenance check on the equipment and reports issues/problems to Manager.
- Cleans up work area at the end of the shift as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum of 1-2 years driving experience of driving forklift (Reach)
- Valid Forklift License for Reach Truck
Education & Experience Requirements
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience using RF Scanner and SAP platform.
- Computer literate in word and excel applications.
- Knowledge of warehouse software applications.
- Knowledge of Shipping and receiving documentation and Knowledge of inventory would be an asset.
