WMB Holdings Ltd. has been hauling feed across Atlantic Canada for over 30 years. Based in Truro, NS, we operate a fleet of 30+ trucks and 70+ specialized trailers, providing bulk pneumatic and bagged feed delivery throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
As our fleet continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our in-house maintenance team.
The Role
This is more than just a welding position. We're looking for someone who enjoys building, repairing, and improving equipment. You'll work closely with our maintenance team to fabricate custom components, repair trailers and truck equipment, and help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair steel and aluminum components.
- Repair trailers, truck bodies, and fleet equipment.
- Read and work from drawings or fabricate from measurements.
- Operate fabrication equipment, including welders, plasma cutters, saws, brakes, and other shop equipment.
- Perform structural repairs on trailers and equipment.
- Assist with custom fabrication projects and equipment modifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in metal fabrication and MIG welding (aluminum welding is an asset).
- Ability to read blueprints and fabricate accurately.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license (Class 1 is considered an asset but not required).
