Whiteout Group Inc. is looking for seasonal Full-Time dedicated Traffic Control Flaggers to join our dynamic crack sealing team. This canidate will play a vital role in ensuring safety and smooth operations on busy construction sites. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for directing traffic, safeguarding workers and the public, and maintaining a secure work environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help keep projects on schedule while prioritizing safety at every turn.
Responsibilities
- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones using clear hand signals, signs, and flags to prevent accidents and ensure smooth flow.
- Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to provide clear instructions and maintain safety protocols.
- Monitor the work zone for potential hazards, reporting any unsafe conditions immediately to site supervisors.
- Assist with setting up and removing traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, and signage in accordance with safety standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures related to crack sealing operation to uphold a secure work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
- Follow instructions from supervisors
Qualifications
- 1 year experience working on construction sites or in traffic control is an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods (10+hours/day)
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (outdoor extreme heat and cold)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey instructions through hand signals or verbal commands.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and traffic management practices.
- Can effectively work as part of a team
- Flexible enough to work shift work
- Must be punctual and available to travel out of town
- Professional attitude with strong attention to detail and saftey orientated
- Flagger Certification is an asset but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Valid Class 5F driver’s license an asset
Wage Will Determined Depending On Experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
