We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Strong understanding of food handling practices within the food industry.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure restaurant setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred but not required.
