Morning Team Lead
Gold's Gym BC is looking for a Morning Team Leader join our club team. If you're passionate about fitness, enjoy building relationships, and thrive in a customer service focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
SHIFT- Early Mornings 8am-330pm weekdays (weekends as needed)*
Must be available: 5 days a week - Full Time 32-40 hours
No extended travel permitted in the first 6 months of employment
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and welcoming members and guests into the facility
- Assist member with account issues and concerns
- Ensure all member and guests check in processes are followed
- Ensure accurate completion of POS payments
- Maintain accurate cash handling and reconciliation
- Ensure all morning staff arrive on time, in uniform and are completing all early morning tasks.
- Complete team briefing before peak morning hours, check in with designated leaders.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor completion.
- Coach staff on customer service and operational standards.
- Open the facility on time every scheduled shift.
- Cover opening shifts when scheduled team members are unable to attend scheduled shifts (4:45am Start)
- Maintain an accurate shift handover for the afternoon/evening team.
- Respond promptly to management communications.
- Report operational concerns before they become major issues.
- Assist Sales Team with touring guests, and potential members.
- Complete all other assigned clerical and reporting duties.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals.
- Must have reliable transportation, live within a reasonable distance of the Port Coquitlam Facility.
- Valid First Aid Certifications an asset.
