A client of ours located in Brantford, Ontario has an opportunity for an experienced Parts & Service Advisor to join their team.
General Overview:
The Parts & Service Advisor is responsible for supporting both the service operations and parts sales. This position will act as the primary liaison between customers and the service department, facilitating repairs, maintenance, and parts sales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Communication – greet customers, identify customer needs, recommend appropriate repairs, prepare estimates and quotes, provide updates and manage customer satisfaction.
- Service Writing & Scheduling – prepare accurate work orders, schedule service appointments, and maintain effective workflow between customers and technicians.
- Parts Identification & Sales – offer advice and assist customers in finding the right parts, process warranties and vendor credits, and manage all parts inventory.
- Invoicing & Warranty – ensure completed work and sales are properly documented, billed and closed, explain and administer all warranty coverage and process all final invoices.
- Workflow Coordination – Liaise between technicians and customers to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and according to company standards.
- Facility & Safety Support – maintain a clean, safe and organized parts, service and warehouse areas and support loading/unloading of parts and equipment.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in heavy equipment, automotive, powersports, or dealership environments is preferred.
- Must have a valid class G Ontario Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills with experience providing exceptional customer service and relationship-building.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to comfortably lift up to 35-55lbs.
- Self-motivated individual with a solid work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Proficient with using dealership management systems, service scheduling software, and inventory platforms.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.
