iKidz Childcare Centre is looking for a passionate and dependable Preschool Educator to join our growing team.
This position will work alongside a Lead Educator in a preschool classroom, helping build a positive, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive. The successful candidate will support daily programming, classroom routines, documentation, and child development while building meaningful relationships with children and families.
At iKidz, we follow a blend of play-based learning, Montessori principles, Reggio-inspired practices, and Alberta's FLIGHT Framework while incorporating Islamic values and Arabic learning into our program.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Educator in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences
- Engage children in play, exploration, and learning throughout the day
- Assist with classroom routines including meals, toileting, transitions, outdoor play, and rest periods
- Observe and document children's learning, interests, and developmental progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Follow licensing regulations, centre policies, and health and safety procedures
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 Certification
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a classroom team
- Previous childcare experience is an asset
