Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Carpentry Labourer to join our construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for craftsmanship, and the ability to assist with various carpentry and construction tasks. Prior experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic blueprint reading is highly valued. This position provides hands-on experience in multiple facets of construction and woodworking, contributing to high-quality project completion.
Duties
- Assist with framing, siding, roofing, and flooring installation using hand tools and power tools
- Support masonry work such as rebar installation and concrete forming
- Aid in cabinet installation, tile laying, and woodworking projects
- Perform demolition and restoration tasks as needed
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement safely around the job site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, or construction estimating is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, or masonry enhances candidacy
- Knowledge of roofing, siding, caulking, or drywall installation is advantageous
- Previous handyman experience or working in manufacturing environments related to woodworking or metal fabrication is desirable
This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking on job sites. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced construction environment.
Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
