Journeyperson Ironworkers
To work at our Suncor Debottleneck Project in the Fort McMurray area
SALARY: Up to $56.16 per hour
OVERTIME: After 8 hours in a day, or 40 hours in a week
TRAVEL: From $150 per shift based on KM
START DATE: Aug 12, 2024
SCHEDULE: 14 days on, 7 days off
HOURS PER DAY: 10hours per day
PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
SHIFT: Dayshift
ACCOMODATIONS: Camp
DURATION: 16 months
WORK SCOPE: Brownfield
Working Conditions:
Full-time, Temporary

Requirements:
- Must have a valid Journeyperson Certification from a recognized provincial training authority
- CSTS 2020 Certification
- WHMIS2015
- ESC Elevated Work Platform
- ESC Fall Protection
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
- Previous industrial construction experience is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Fabricates structural steel, ornamental work and pre-cast structures on a variety of projects.
- Studies blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine the lay out of work.
- Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts using simple torque and hand wrenches.
- Attach cables from a crane and direct crane operators with hand signals and/ or radio.
- Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
- Know, understand, and operate grinders safely in accordance with safe work practices and procedures
- Ability to recognize spool hoisting point and utilize proper rigging techniques and signals while working in a fast-paced environment
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Complete all required safety documentation
- Working at heights and outdoors
Pay: $56.16 per hour
