Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter Site Supervisor to oversee residential construction projects from start to finish. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, ideal for a skilled carpenter who can manage crews, coordinate schedules, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and organization on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and execute construction schedules
- Supervise carpenters, labourers, and subcontractors on site
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure all work complies with Ontario Building Code and health & safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized job site
- Coordinate deliveries and verify materials against packing slips
- Communicate with clients on-site and report changes or issues to management
- Track daily job progress and complete required site reporting
- Perform hands-on carpentry work including:
- Framing, foundations, and structural work
- Installation of floor systems, walls, and roofing
- Window and door installation
- Interior and exterior finishing (trim, stairs, decking, railings, hardware)
- Renovation and repair work as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Journeyperson or equivalent carpentry experience
- Previous site supervision or leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
- Knowledge of Ontario health & safety regulations (Reg. 213/91)
- Ability to lead, communicate clearly, and solve problems on site
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs
- Working at Heights certification (required)
- Proficient with hand and power tools including saws, drills, nail guns, and ladders

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
