Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Produce Associate to join our team full time. This role is hands-on and physical, involving daily wet wall setup, trimming and preparing produce, and assisting with deliveries. The ideal candidate enjoys working with fresh products, stays organized, and thrives in a fast-paced grocery environment.
Job Structure
This is a full-time, hourly wage position. Work schedule includes weekends and holidays as required. Paid vacation accrual at 4%. Health insurance plan is included and life insurance benefits are available after 6 months of full-time employment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain the wet wall to ensure fresh, attractive produce displays
- Trim, rotate, and cull produce to maintain quality and freshness standards
- Assist with unloading trucks and receiving produce deliveries
- Stock, organize, and replenish produce throughout the day
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service as needed
Qualifications
- Previous produce experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
