Position:
- We are seeking to add a full-time pharmacy assistant to our growing team!
- 32 to 40 hours per week
- $21 to $26/hour - Experience and performance-based + benefits
Who we are:
- An independent community pharmacy in the heart of downtown Vancouver is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team. Our mission is to engage with the West End residents and the broader 2SLGBTQI+ community to increase knowledge and access to healthcare. Some of our current focal points include 2SLGBTQI+ vaccinations, ostomy care, and gender affirming care.
Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday to Friday - 9am to 7pm
- Saturday - 10am to 6pm
- Sunday - 10am to 2pm
- Closed all statutory holidays and Pride Sunday

Required Experience:
- Work experience in a pharmacy environment
- Comfortable with pharmacy computer and printer equipment and common computer programs
- Pharmacy processing program experience (Applied Robotics WinRx)
- Working knowledge of MSP and BC Pharmacare programs and policies
- Working knowledge of third-party extended health adjudication and policies
- Cash, debit, credit card, and point of sale experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the managing of daily workflow, from intake, data-entry, and preparation of prescriptions to cash-out and inventory management
- Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly orders, and compliance packaging
- Receive, order, restock, and maintain front-store and pharmacy inventory
- Answering phone calls, messages, emails, etc. and relaying accurate information and messages when required
- Maintaining an accurate filing and record-keeping system
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free workspace and an environmentally-conscious waste and recycling system
- Assisting the pharmacy team in day-to-day duties and day-to-day customer service tasks
