Pizzaiolo Job Description
Amabel Hospitality Group operating Gigi's Italian is currently seeking experienced pizzaiolo to join our dynamic kitchen team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager, you will play a key role as part of a team working together to give our guests the best possible dining experience we can offer.
While on shift, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items using proper trained techniques
- Cooks food items by using cooking methods and specified recipes and standards set out by leadership
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes all areas to the expectation and standards of The Amabel Hospitality Group
- Executes dining services with speed and accuracy and to the high standard of expectation of leadership
- Practices a good sense of self awareness, possesses a growth mindset and has a true respect for others
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to two years as a Pizzaiolo with experience in stone Pizza Oven baking
- Understand and manage the pizza dough making and management processes
- Experience in a progressive kitchen in a fine or casual scratch cooking environment
- Demonstrated awareness of and interest in current culinary trends in the marketplace
- Experience in a high volume establishment is required
- Ability to multitask, remain cool and keep up in a fast paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends and holidays
- Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
- Familiar with industry best practices
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
