Position Summary
Auto Exotica is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Vehicle Purchaser to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and acquire inventory that aligns with the dealership's sales strategy and profitability objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing vehicles through private sellers, trade-ins, wholesalers, dealerships, and other channels while maintaining strong industry relationships and ensuring inventory targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
*Vehicle Sourcing & Acquisition
* Source and purchase luxury, performance, and specialty vehicles from various channels.
*Monitor online marketplaces, dealer networks, and private seller listings.
* Evaluate market trends and identify high-demand inventory opportunities.
* Build and maintain relationships with dealers, wholesalers, auction representatives, brokers, and private sellers.
* Travel as required to inspect and purchase vehicles.
Vehicle Evaluation
* Assess vehicle condition, history, market value, and reconditioning requirements.
* Review vehicle history reports, accident records, service records, and ownership documentation.
* Conduct market analysis to determine competitive purchase pricing.
* Identify potential risks associated with vehicle acquisitions.
Negotiation & Deal Management
* Negotiate purchase prices and terms with sellers.
* Structure deals to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive inventory acquisition.
* Coordinate transportation, logistics, and vehicle delivery schedules.
* Ensure all purchase documentation is accurate and complete.
Market Analysis
* Track market trends, vehicle values, and industry developments.
* Analyze competitor inventory and pricing strategies.
* Identify emerging vehicle segments and acquisition opportunities.
* Prepare regular reports on inventory acquisition performance and market conditions.
Administrative Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate records of vehicle purchases and acquisition costs.
* Ensure compliance with OMVIC regulations and dealership policies.
* Coordinate title, ownership, and registration documentation as required.
* Assist with inventory audits and reporting.
Qualifications
Required:
* Strong knowledge of luxury, and performance vehicle brands.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to analyze market data and vehicle valuations.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
* Experience with wholesale auctions such as Openlane, Eblock, and dealer-only marketplaces.
* OMVIC certification.
* Existing network of automotive industry contacts.
* Experience purchasing luxury, specialty vehicles.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Monthly vehicle acquisition targets achieved.
* Gross profit generated from acquired inventory.
* Inventory turn rate.
* Average acquisition cost versus market value.
* Quality and marketability of acquired inventory.
* Accuracy and completeness of purchase documentation.

Pay: $43,083.41-$106,859.03 per year
