Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions accurately, and process payments securely.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area and kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food handling tasks including portioning, packaging, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks to ensure timely service during busy hours.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cash handling technology.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and managing transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
