As a Marine Coordinator, you will coordinate voyage planning and the successful execution of Irving Oil Limited marine movements, ensuring efficient and effective vessel operations. Your goal will be to minimize or eliminate ship delays and waiting time while improving overall operations and vessel movement to best meet the needs of Irving Oil Limited. Your success will be demonstrated through effectively coordinating marine movements across scheduling, chartering, and reporting, while ensuring all logistics activities are completed and clearly communicated, and by collecting shipping data, creating reports, and analyzing key performance indicators and dashboards to support optimal decision making.

Your Responsibilities:
Create and coordinate vessel voyage plans in alignment with shipping schedules, while providing coverage for team members during absences
Optimize vessel plans by collaborating with vessel owners and internal/external stakeholders to improve efficiency and control voyage costs
Issue voyage orders for load and discharge ports, prepare required documentation, and nominate port agencies and marine inspection companies
Monitor voyage and port operations to maximize efficiency, minimize delays, and ensure compliance with Irving Oil requirements
Develop and maintain a daily dock schedule to support operational needs and ensure alignment across refinery and terminal stakeholders
Complete and submit customs documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal procedures
Support post-voyage analysis, including evaluating and calculating claims such as demurrage, cargo loss, damage, or contractual issues
Collect, analyze, and report on shipping data while maintaining marine dashboards to support decision-making, including participation in on-call duties
Your Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong decision-making skills under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel, and working knowledge of SharePoint
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
Your Experience:
Post-secondary education in Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
5–10 years of experience in Scheduling, Supply Chain, and/or Logistics
Marine logistics experience is considered an asset
