Position Summary
The Production Technician is responsible for supporting daily operations within a cannabis production facility. This role involves preparing, packaging, labeling, processing, and handling cannabis products while ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and all applicable provincial and federal cannabis regulations. The Production Technician plays an important role in maintaining product quality, cleanliness, efficiency, and accuracy throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, processing, packaging, and labeling of cannabis products.
- Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Production Practices (GPP), and Health Canada regulations.
- Accurately weigh, count, package, and record cannabis inventory and production data.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment at all times.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Monitor products for inconsistencies, contamination, or defects and report concerns to management.
- Assist with receiving shipments, inventory counts, and stock organization.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled and packaged according to regulatory requirements.
- Complete required production logs, batch records, and documentation accurately.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support sanitation and cleaning procedures for production rooms and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
- Maintain confidentiality and security within the facility.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or cannabis environments considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow strict procedures and compliance requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Criminal background check may be required.

Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
