We have a requirement for Traffic Control Person / Hydrovac Helper in our Durham Yard.
This is a unionized environment, as such you must be a member with LiUNA local 183 to be employed with OE Utility Services.

In this role you will be responsible for the safe and successful execution of traffic control plans on our excavation sites, as well as cross-trained to assist with the completion of hydro excavation work assigned.
Starting rate: $40.46
Participation in the union benefit plan which includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, etc. .
Requirements:
· Previous experience in Traffic Control and knowledge of Book 7 is preferred;
· A clean driver’s abstract/record which is deemed acceptable under our company insurance plan
· Previous experience in hydro excavation is considered an asset. Will consider other experience in the construction industry working around utilities, site preparation and restoration.
· Ability to read and understand all road signage and Book 7 requirements.
· Safety oriented, proactive and positive approach in the workplace.
· Self-motivated, collaborative and able to work harmoniously within a team environment.
Working Conditions
· Open availability Monday to Friday, with periodic weekends. Short notice work and overtime as required.
· Safety equipment will be required such as, but not limited to: hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses, face mask/respirators, fall protection.
· Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 60 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces
· Work environment: outdoors, public areas, construction sites or similar. Exposure to all seasonal weather, work areas that are dirty, dusty, wet and noisy.
