Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Client Care Assistant to join our team and provide compassionate care to individuals in our Sarnia-Lambton community. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities such as housekeeping, laundry and errands
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to assist clients with mobility and transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe living space for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and physical health.
- Interacts with clients in a way to promote their dignity and independence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing home settings, home care, or senior care is required.
- Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care.
- High degree of trustworthiness, honesty and integrity.
- Ability to demonstrate strong reliability, maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts in order to ensure continuity of care and team support.
- Valid driver's license, insurance and a reliable vehicle
Job Type: Casual
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
