Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including hospital, home care, assisted living, and nursing homes. This role requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, medication administration, and patient management, with experience in acute care, pediatrics, senior care, dementia care, and pain management. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient health and safety while utilizing electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner.
Duties
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans aligned with medical directives.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Document patient information meticulously using electronic health records (Epic, Cerner).
- Provide patient education on health management, medication use, and post-discharge care.
- Assist with laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Manage pain control strategies and support patients with chronic conditions like dementia or mobility limitations.
- Support pediatric patients or seniors in various care environments, including home care or assisted living facilities.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in hospital settings, acute care, pediatrics, senior care, or nursing homes is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and laboratory procedures including phlebotomy.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including children and elderly individuals.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in fast-paced environments such as hospitals or home care settings.
- Certification in pain management or case management is a plus but not required.
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Pay: $32.90-$59.05 per hour
