Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring that all safety protocols, regulatory standards, and company policies are effectively implemented and maintained across our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Trucking and have experience in training and development to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Lead safety training sessions for new hires and ongoing development programs for existing staff to promote awareness and adherence to safety practices.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses to determine root causes and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and industry best practices related to manufacturing safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Prior experience in training & development, with the ability to design engaging safety programs for diverse teams.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental health standards, and industry-specific safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, motivate, and influence employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for recordkeeping and reporting purposes.
- Ability to analyze situations critically, identify hazards, and implement effective solutions.
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety or related fields is preferred but not required.
This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment while supporting our commitment to operational excellence through effective training and compliance management.
Pay: $45,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
