WQS Group is searching for a Shop Labourer to join our Shared Services team! As a Shop Labourer, you will play an important role in supporting our day-to-day operations by helping maintain our shop, yard, fleet, and equipment. Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00AM - 5:30PM (30 unpaid break). 40 hours per week, occasional overtime may be required.
What You Will Do
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and yard environment.
- Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and preparing equipment, tools, and materials for field operations.
- Support the tracking, organization, and deployment of NDT equipment, rope access gear, and other company assets.
- Transport company vehicles, trailers, equipment, and materials between shop locations, project sites, and vendors.
- Perform basic vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any maintenance or repair requirements.
- Assist with inventory counts, receiving shipments, and organizing materials for easy access and tracking.
- Support mobilization and demobilization activities by preparing equipment and shipments for the field.
- Maintain accurate records related to deliveries, pickups, and inventory movement.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while promoting a positive team environment.
What You Will Bring
- Previous experience in a labourer, shop helper, yard support, or industrial services role is considered an asset.
- Experience working in construction, oil and gas, industrial services, or similar environments is preferred.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience operating trucks and pulling trailers is a must.
- Forklift certification is considered an asset; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Familiarity with NDT equipment or rope access gear is considered an asset, but not required.
