Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Framer/Carpenter to join our construction team. This role involves building, installing, and repairing structures with a focus on precision, safety, and quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial framing, carpentry, and related construction tasks. Candidates should be comfortable working with various tools and equipment, and possess a strong understanding of blueprints and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new builds to restoration and siding installations.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute projects
- Frame walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for material handling and site preparation
- Install siding, sheathing, and other exterior finishes with attention to detail
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks for foundations or other structures
- Assist with concrete pouring, finishing, and welding tasks when required
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures to ensure safety and aesthetic standards
- Use woodworking skills for custom carpentry projects such as cabinetry or trim work
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in framing, carpentry, or related construction roles
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, welding, and heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Experience working with siding materials and restoration projects is desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites
