Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rigger/Tower Crane Operator to join our construction team. Experienced in concrete forming construction a must. our jobsites range from west Vancouver to Chilliwack.
Duties
- Rigging and unrigging loads using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safe lifting operations
- Rigging tower cranes and boom trucks with precision, adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Coordinating with team members and site managers to plan lifting sequences and ensure smooth workflow
- Conducting routine inspections of crane equipment, rigging gear, and related machinery for safety compliance
- Assisting with the setup, dismantling, and maintenance of crane systems as needed
- Communicating effectively with team members, including multilingual communication when necessary, to facilitate clear understanding of tasks
- Ensuring all operations comply with safety standards, including proper signaling and load management
- Providing excellent customer service by maintaining professionalism and safety awareness on-site
Skills
- Proven experience in construction, crane operation, and rigging procedures
- Mechanical knowledge related to crane systems, boom trucks, forklifts, and other lifting equipment
- Ability to operate forklifts, boom trucks, and tower cranes safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for effective teamwork in diverse environments
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and safety regulations governing crane operations
- Familiarity with customer service principles to maintain positive interactions on-site
- Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding conditions while maintaining attention to safety standards
- Mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment issues

Pay: $20.31-$41.81 per hour
