Overview
Amber Gastown is seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team in meal assembly during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent food service experience
Experience
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, especially in fast-paced dining establishments
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling procedures
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Experience in meal preparation and serving in a restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
