K&H Dispatch Co has been a leader in the local freight market for over forty years. Reporting to the operations manager, K&H is seeking an experienced courier or cartage dispatcher.
Duties and responsibilities:
Managing a fleet of twenty to thirty owner-operator units, the dispatcher is the voice and primary point of contact for the company to drivers.
Working in conjunction with other dispatchers, dispatch allocates work in the most efficient manner possible, being mindful of customer requirements, fleet availability, and driver revenue.
Prioritizing orders, monitoring trips to completion and initiating communication with customers when required. Mentoring and supporting drivers as necessary.
Qualifications: A minimum of two years experience in local on-demand dispatch.
Excellent communication, organization and ability to work as part of a team.
Familiarity with computer dispatch systems; courier complete would be an asset.
Extensive knowledge of Vancouver and neighouring areas.
