Job Summary
The Tasting Room Associate at Lundy Manor Wine Cellars is an ambassador of our estate, responsible for delivering warm, polished, and memorable guest experiences. This role includes leading guided wine tastings, conducting estate and cellar tours, hosting curated food and wine pairing experiences, and sharing the story, history, and craftsmanship behind Lundy Manor’s wines. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality, with a genuine interest in wine education and creating an elevated, welcoming atmosphere for every guest who visits the manor.
Responsibilities
- Host and lead guided wine tastings with professionalism and warmth
- Conduct estate, vineyard, and cellar tours, sharing the history and story of Lundy Manor and the process of winemaking from grape to bottle
- Facilitate food and wine pairing experiences and pairing tours, specifically our wine and cheese tour and Estate tour
- Educate guests on wine styles, production methods, and tasting techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, luxury-level experience
- Process wine and retail sales accurately through the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the tasting room and tour areas
- Assist with private tastings, weddings, and special events
- Bartend private events, weddings and special events
- Support kitchen by cleaning dishes, polishing glassware and preparing menu items during busy times
- Support setup and breakdown for tours, tastings, and pairing experiences
- Answer guest questions and make personalized wine recommendations
- Follow all Smart Serve / alcohol service and safety guidelines
- Be able to work well in a small team enviroment
- Previous experience in a winery, tasting room, restaurant, or hospitality environment
- Hospitality supervisor experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of wine varietals, regions, tasting techniques, and food pairings
- Comfortable leading guided tastings and speaking to groups
- Experience providing elevated, guest-focused service
- Sales experience and ability to make confident recommendations
- Interest in wine education and continuous learning
- Professional, polished communication and presentation skillsQualifications
- Valid Smart Serve certification (required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Flexible availability, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food handlers certificate preferred
Pay: $18.00 per hour
