Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during each visit. You will play a crucial role in educating patients on oral hygiene practices and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Assess patient oral health and provide appropriate recommendations for treatment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix software.
- Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental office.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling and confirming visits.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Work with pediatric patients to create a comfortable experience tailored to their needs.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with orthodontics and dental assisting practices is advantageous.
- Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience when working with patients.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team focused on patient care excellence.
