Universe Machine Corporation is currently looking for a B Pressure Welder for our Valve Repair and Modification division. Our Vision is to be one step ahead and the first choice of customers. We are a fast-paced shop and the successful candidate will produce as needed to fulfill both internal and external customers’ orders.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM, Overtime as required
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using the GTAW/SMAW processes on 2.5" boiler tubes
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures to ensure accurate and high quality welds
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and protocols while working with welding equipment and materials
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards
- Collaborate with other team members and welding foreman to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel
- Follow established welding procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and quality in welding operations
- Complete necessary documentation and recordkeeping related to welding activities
Requirements:
- 5 Years’ minimum experience
- Understand and read English
- Red Seal Welder Journeyperson, B Pressure
- Valid Welder performance qualification certificates in GTAW/SMAW for F6/F4 Carbon Steel (must submit copies of Welder Performance Qualification tickets with resume)
- Valid Welder Performance Ticket for F6/F5 Stainless Steel (must submit copies of Welder Performance Qualification tickets with resume)
- Proficiency in welding on 2.5" boiler tubes using GTAW/SMAW techniques
