Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Preper/Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Porter/preper will be responsible for various cleaning and trasporting tasks, ensuring that our environment is welcoming and well-maintained for both staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine Prepping tasks including locating and pulling glass from our stock, cleaning and inspecting glass ensuring there is no damage, and priming glass for installation.
- Moving vehicles as needed to different locations around the city while providing exceptional customer service.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
- Lift and move heavy items as required to maintain a consistant flow and organization throughout the facility.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors regarding daily tasks and any challenges encountered.
- Hours of Operation : Monday to Saturday
Requirements
- A valid driver’s Alberta Drivers License
- A clean driving record
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safe driving
- Customer service skills
- Ability to follow instructions closely
- Time-management and multitasking skills to handle multiple vehicle requests on busy days
- Attention to detail to keep track of all vehicles
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general safe practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to take responsibility for high-value vehicles
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as needed throughout the shift.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the facility.
