Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temporary Early Childhood Educator Level II to join our educational team. This role involves supporting the development and learning of toddler and preschool aged children in a classroom setting, fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse needs.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children.
- Support children’s individual needs, including those requiring special education or accommodations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues regarding progress and needs.
- Use computer skills for record-keeping, lesson planning, and reporting purposes.
- Assist in classroom management and lead small group activities when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to develop educational strategies that support inclusive learning environments.
- Document observations and write reports on children's development and behavior as required.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood education or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation efficiently.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities along with time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.

The successful candidate will have a Saskatchewan certified ECE Level III, valid First Aid & CPR "C" as well as a recent Record Check (less than 6 months old) which includes the Vulnerable Sector Search.
Must be available between the hours of 9:30-2:30 Monday-Friday. Additional hours may be offered. Must be punctual and reliable in attendance. Must be available to start no later than Wednesday July 29, 2026. This is a temporary position covering an approximate 15 week leave.
