Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor for students in grades 10 through 12 to provide personalized academic support. The ideal candidate will help students improve their understanding of key subjects, develop effective study skills, and build confidence in their abilities. Duties
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in subjects such as Math, Bio, Chem, Physics, or other relevant areas.
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s learning style and academic needs.
- Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding complex concepts.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Incorporate technology and computer skills to enhance learning experiences.
- Support students with special education needs by adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain a positive and motivating attitude to foster student engagement and confidence.
Skills
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
- Strong background in tutoring, particularly in Math, Computer Science, or related subjects.
- Effective teaching skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
- Proficiency in computer skills and educational software tools.
- Classroom experience or familiarity with educational environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education strategies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students to achieve their academic goals.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
