Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and assist with weekly lawn maintenance as well as a variety of occasional landscaping projects. This role involves hands-on work in maintaining residential and commercial properties, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, a strong work ethic, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment essential for landscape maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscape upkeep such as mowing, trimming and weeding
- Operate machinery such as trimmers, lawn mowers (push and zero turn) and leaf blowers
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, sod laying, and mulching
- Use hand tools and power tools for trimming, pruning, edging, and general landscape maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site
Requirements
- Prior experience with professional grass cutting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as lawn mowers and trimmers is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials or equipment as needed
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to yard required.
