Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality building projects, ensuring safety, precision, and durability. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction and installation.
- Construct frameworks, walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural components using wood, concrete forms, drywall, siding, and other materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing woodwork or concrete surfaces.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks with precision to create durable foundations and structures.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Assist in restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures or fixtures as needed.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry or related trades.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Familiarity with concrete finishing techniques and concrete forming processes.
- Knowledge of welding techniques for structural repairs or custom fabrications is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics.
- Skilled in woodworking projects with attention to detail in finishing work interior and exterior.
- Design and build fences, decks and sheds.
- Landscape construction including retaining walls, garden bed construction.
- Handiwork as needed.
