Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Night Shift Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor for our BHP project in Leroy, SK. The successful candidates will be responsible for and oversee implementation, monitoring, guidance, inspection and auditing of the Owner’s and Contractor’s EHS management system.

Responsibilities
- Promoting and reinforcing a strong safety culture aligned with BHP and Skyway expectations
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, client, and company HSE standards and procedures
- Conducting regular field inspections, audits, and safety observations- climbing heights up to 12 floors-stairs.
- Leading investigations and incident reporting, and follow-up corrective actions
- Assisting in the development, review, and implementation of Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), FLHAs, and hazard assessments
- Providing coaching and mentorship to supervisors and workers on safe work practices
- Participating in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-job planning activities
- Monitoring high-risk work activities and ensuring proper controls are in place
- Tracking and reporting HSE performance metrics
- Liaising with site leadership and client representatives on HSE matters
Requirements
- Professional qualification in construction safety implementation (CRSP, CSP, NCSO)
- Minimum five years progressive experience in an industrial construction EHS role, experience in a scaffolding environment is an asset
- Previous experience in incident and investigation management, including root cause analysis and emergency response processes
- Experienced working in a contractor environment is essential
- Familiar with provincial/federal regulatory legislation associated with construction and oil and gas
- Energetic and have a high regard for safety and the environment
- Capable of organizing and chairing meetings with diverse groups of people
- Knowledge of applicable Federal and Provincial regulations is required
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Must possess valid Rights and Responsibilities or CSTS 2020(Construction Safety Training Systems) certification
- Must possess valid WHMIS2015
- Must possess valid H2S Alive
- Must possess valid First Aid
- Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Pay: $54.00-$59.00 per hour
