The Opportunity
We are currently looking to hire a Director of Operations (Service Delivery) in Edmonton, AB. This opportunity will be ideal for someone with a passion for building an inclusive, diverse, and skilled team and who is passionate about process optimization.
Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy and Operations, this role is instrumental in supporting our mission by overseeing all programs within our Service Delivery portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in managing stakeholder relationships, including various government agencies in the 24/7 care sector, experience conducting initial assessments to develop care plans for children and youth, and coordinating efforts with professional and direct care staff, families, and community medical providers.
The Director of Operations (Service Delivery) will oversee the delivery of exceptional care services to children and youth in our Service Delivery portfolio for our operations in Edmonton, Red Deer, Leduc, and Grande Prairie. Overseeing a team of professionals, the Director of Operations (Service Delivery) will focus on overseeing emergency and crisis management, program management of our Personalized Community Care and Therapeutic Foster Care programs, directing education for staff, conducting performance management, ensuring compliance with governing bodies, and participating in recruitment. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of care that CarePros is known for.
Who You Are
You are a dedicated and dynamic professional with proven track record in operations and service delivery within the Child Intervention sector. Your extensive experience includes managing stakeholder relationships, overseeing case and program management, and ensuring compliance with accreditation and legislative bodies, funder standards, contract compliance, and standards of practice. You excel in crisis management, staff development, and performance management, demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards or care and support for children and youth and their families.
Your leadership style is proactive and collaborative, with a strong ability to drive growth initiatives and manage complex projects. You are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve, utilizing your excellent communication and organizational skills to build effective partnerships and lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional care. With a deep understanding of publicly funded sources (Ministry of Children and Family Services and Ministry of Seniors, Community & Social Services), you are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the children's services landscape and contribute to the success and expansion of our programs.
You possess the following education, experience, and skills:

Minimum of 10+ years of progressive and diverse experience in the human services field with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership/management role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, or Community Addictions or Mental Health is required. A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology (and or equivalent), demonstrating clinical competence, would be strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) framework, the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act (CYFEA), and standards of practice for Child and Youth Care Workers, Social Workers and other relevant professions.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and leading diverse teams, with a proven track record of driving results and fostering a positive work environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and build strong relationships within the organization and with external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make strategic decisions and implement innovative solutions to address challenges in service delivery.
- Experience in budget management and financial oversight, including the ability to allocate resources efficiently while adhering to fiscal constraints and company priorities.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to Child Intervention services in Alberta.
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate dynamic and evolving environments, with the resilience to manage competing priorities and navigate complex situations effectively.
