Sol Senior Services helps Manitoba seniors transition to new homes with dignity and care. We pack, move, and unpack so that clients and their families can focus on what matters. Our work spans downsizing, retirement community moves, and full estate transitions across Winnipeg.
Job Summary
As a Sol packer, you arrive at the client's home before moving day. You consult with them about what to pack, how things should be wrapped, and what needs extra care. You wrap fragile items, organize boxes by room, label everything clearly, and create a calm, organized environment so moving day runs smoothly.
This is a people first role. Most clients have lived in their homes for decades. You will meet their belongings as carefully as you meet them.
What You Will Do
- Consult with the client about their belongings, preferences, and concerns
- Wrap and pack items carefully, especially fragile pieces and family heirlooms
- Label boxes by room and contents
- Build a clear inventory the moving crew can follow
- Communicate respectfully with clients, family members, and Sol partners
- Leave each home cleaner and more organized than you found it
What Are We Looking For?
- Patient, warm, professional manner with seniors
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliability, punctuality, and a smartphone for scheduling
- Reliable transportation to client sites
- Willing to consent to a basic criminal record check
- Comfortable in homes with seniors, including those with cognitive decline
Bonus Points
- Background in interior design, museums, antiques, or estate work
- Inventory or bookkeeping experience
- A second language common in Winnipeg's senior community
- First aid or CPR certification
