Workforce Development Manager
Manpower Services (Alberta) Ltd. is looking for a strategic and results-driven Workforce Development Manager to lead and oversee workforce development programs across Calgary and Airdrie. This role is responsible for driving program excellence, leading high-performing teams, building strong community partnerships, and ensuring successful program delivery while meeting Government of Alberta funding requirements.

What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operations of workforce development programs and ensure successful program delivery.
- Manage government-funded contracts and ensure compliance with funding agreements and performance targets.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve workforce development and skills training programs.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and support program staff to achieve client and organizational outcomes.
- Analyze program performance, financials, and reporting metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports, budgets, forecasts, invoices, and program proposals.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with government, employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Represent Manpower at community events, networking opportunities, and stakeholder meetings.
- Monitor labour market trends and identify opportunities to develop innovative workforce solutions.
- Ensure compliance with privacy legislation, organizational policies, and Government of Alberta requirements.
- Oversee client service planning and workplace training initiatives that support employment outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Experience leading workforce development, employment, education, or government-funded programs.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of comfort working with numbers, performance metrics, budgets, and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
- Experience developing partnerships with employers, community organizations, and government stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of labour market trends and workforce development programs is considered an asset.
