Position: Material Handler - Summer Student
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Barrie, Ontario
Overview of the Position
The Summer Student is responsible for storing parts which have been received and for picking orders for shipment and providing administrative support to other departments as needed.
Schedule
The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Main Responsibilities
- 18 years of age
- Picking parts orders from small parts and bulk parts storage areas
- Packaging, preparing and shipping parts orders.
- Checking and stocking inbound parts shipments
- Conducting Order Audits- Checking picked orders for accuracy
- Conducting Weekly Cycle count of designated part numbers.
- Organizing, tidying and cleaning all warehouse areas
- Perform other warehouse related duties as required.
Requirements of the Position
- Reliable & punctual
- Able to climb stairs, bend, squat and reach overhead to store or retrieve parts
- Able to communicate with team members to ensure accuracy of customer orders
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
