Overview
We’re looking for hardworking, positive people to join our landscaping crew – specifically for sod installation. No fancy degree required. Just a good attitude, a valid license, and the ability to get the job done.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, a strong work ethic, and the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment. Prior experience with horticulture, landscape maintenance, or construction is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
What you’ll do:
-Roll out, cut, and install sod on residential/commercial sites
-Lift and carry heavy sod rolls (30–50 lbs repeatedly)
-Prep soil, rake, grade, and clean job sites
-Work outdoors as part of a small, efficient team
Responsibilities
- Assist with sod installation, maintenance, and delivery services.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Use mechanical equipment such as sod cutters and soil conditioners for preparation of yard work and maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs of equipment and tools.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and general landscape care is desirable
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for transporting materials.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to landscape maintenance and construction tasks
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Positive, reliable attitude – even when it’s hot or muddy
