Bucket Operator / DZ Driver
We are currently hiring an experienced Bucket Operator / DZ Driver to join our growing tree service team. We are looking for motivated, dependable, and safety-oriented individuals with experience in arboriculture, tree removals, pruning, rigging, and aerial lift operations.

Job Responsibilities
- Drive and operate DZ-class vehicles, including chip trucks, bucket trucks, and equipment trailers for daily tree service operations
- Operate bucket trucks and aerial lifts to perform tree removals, pruning, deadwooding, canopy thinning, crown reduction, and hazard tree work
- Safely perform aerial tree work, including cutting, rigging, and lowering limbs and wood using ropes, blocks, portawraps, and rigging systems
- Support climbing arborists and work collaboratively with the crew to complete tree care projects safely and efficiently
- Operate chippers, stump grinders, chainsaws, loaders, and other tree service equipment
- Conduct daily circle checks, perform routine equipment maintenance, and ensure all vehicles and equipment remain in safe operating condition
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Communicate professionally with crew members and clients
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations, and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Valid DZ License (required)
- Previous experience in the tree care / arborist industry
- Experience climbing and operating bucket trucks
- Strong knowledge of rigging, pruning cuts, and safe removal techniques
- Ability to identify tree species and assess tree hazards is an asset
- Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding outdoor conditions
- Chainsaw safety and operation experience required
- ISA Arborist certification is considered a strong asset
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
