ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Flint & Steel is seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant to support our growing construction and business operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys bookkeeping, administration, problem-solving, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, filing, and document management.
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Payroll administration and bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Preparation and organization of year-end financial documentation.
- Vendor communication and record management.
- Assisting with the development and improvement of office systems and procedures.
- Supporting multiple business operations as required.
- General office administration and special projects.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of administrative and bookkeeping experience required.
- 3–5 years of experience using QuickBooks Online required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems with minimal supervision.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable learning new software and adapting to changing priorities.
- Experience in construction administration, job costing, purchase orders, contractor documentation, or project coordination is considered a strong asset.
- Experience in construction, retail, or small business environments is preferred.

Compensation
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
