Office/Marketing Administrator

Boyd Excavating Ltd. is a growing trucking, and heavy equipment company looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Office/ Marketing Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time position that plays a key role in supporting our daily operations. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, is essential. Experience in the construction, trucking, or heavy equipment industry is considered a strong asset, as is a mechanical background.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
- Greet customers, suppliers, and visitors.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and office correspondence.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and tracking documents using Microsoft Excel.
- Assist with equipment files, maintenance records, and documentation.
- Support bookkeeping functions, including invoice processing and purchase order management.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and appointments.
- Maintain office supplies and assist with general office organization.
- Assist management with administrative projects and day-to-day operations.
- Provide excellent customer service while communicating with customers, suppliers, and employees.
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong knowledge of formulas, spreadsheets, and data management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is an asset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Experience in the construction, trucking, excavation, or heavy equipment industry is an asset.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working around equipment is considered a strong asset.
