Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant and Toddler Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our vibrant childcare team. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and loving care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills development, language acquisition, and social interaction
- Support children’s emotional needs by building trusting relationships and encouraging positive behavior management strategies
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that complies with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to plan daily routines, transitions, and special projects that enhance learning experiences
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks in accordance with best practices
Qualifications
- Hold a BC Early Childhood Education Infant and Toddler Certificate
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to early childhood age groups
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Familiarity with special education needs or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- Experience in behavior management strategies tailored for young children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
