Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Montessori Teacher’s Assistant to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with student engagement, and help create a nurturing learning environment that fosters independence and curiosity. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in early childhood education, and a strong understanding of Montessori principles. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of young learners while gaining valuable classroom experience.
Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in implementing Montessori-based lesson plans and activities
- Assist children with daily routines, including classroom transitions and self-care tasks
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration
- Observe and document student progress to inform instructional strategies
- Help prepare classroom materials and ensure the learning environment remains organized and inviting
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring all students receive appropriate assistance
- Promote social-emotional development through positive interactions and guidance
- Communicate effectively with children, teachers, parents, and staff to support student success
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or experience working with children is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, especially Montessori methods, is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Passion for early childhood development and education
- Basic skills in math and other foundational subjects are beneficial
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing attitude towards young learners
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
