Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, highlights, treatments, and blowouts with precision and artistry.
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable styles and products.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with health regulations.
- Engage in retail sales by recommending hair care products that meet clients’ needs, enhancing their experience and satisfaction.
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a friendly, professional atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments efficiently.
- Upsell salon services and retail products to maximize client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
- Valid state cosmetology license or equivalent certification as a Licensed Hair Stylist.
- Proven experience in hair styling, cutting, coloring, and treatments.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean work environment.
- Ability to upsell products and services confidently while prioritizing client needs.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with clients professionally and courteously.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
